A sound sculpture consisting of an acrylic globe, an electronic unit equipped with a peristaltic pump and a LED, and circulating water.
Water drops fall into the acrylic globe filled with water, and ripples illuminated by the LED appear on the floor and the surface of the globe, echoing the calm and profound sounds of water drops.

In Japan, there is a sound instrument called Suikinkutsu;水琴窟, which is disappearing.
Suikinkutsu, with echoes the beautiful metallic sound of water drops, is originated in Japan in the 16th century and spread along with the culture of tea ceremonies and Japanese gardens.
However, in the modernized cities after the industrial revolution, it was exposed to urban noise such as noise of automobiles and outdoor units, and became a forgotten entity in the 20th century.

Today, when silence is lost day by day in the real world and virtual space, can we coexist in silence with the sound of water drops?
